Sea Ya Kayaking About the Instructor: Keith Trautvetter My interest in kayaking started in 1993 when I overheard two people talking about a kayaking trip. I picked up a paddling magazine and decided to sign up for lessons. I grew to love the sport through developing my skills by studying with Nigel Foster. Pretty soon I had advanced enough to assist with classes. I decided to become an instructor through the American Canoe Association (ACA) and am now certified in open sea kayaking instruction. I learned how to manage classes through on-water training, self, and assisted rescues. I have diligently mastered bracing, sweep, and reverse strokes With my level of training, I can teach you total mastery of kayak maneuvering from the beginner to the professional.
